SPA Hotel Devin: SPA Hotel Devin

What I like about the hotel that it is quite new. It was open on 2nd July 2004. That basically means that the rooms look rather new, the are very spacious, comfortable and clean. The other advantage is the wonderful view revealing infront of your eyes. A nice surprise was the mini bar - filled with fresh products which is not always the case with some hotels in Bulgaria.

The sweet shop of the hotels offers quite nice sweets. The sauna was nice as well but it is not included in the price of the room.

What I did not like that much about the hotel was that in order to use the open air parking the guest of the hotel were supposed to pay which was a bit excessive having in mind the price for the room and the distant location of Devin. Another diappointment was the size of the pool... too small for a decent swim, good thing it is free of charge for the gusts of the hotel. Ah, and the bathrooms are a bit small but that is not a big tragedy.

What they can certainly work on improving is the quality of service. The people on the reception are a bit slow. Besides asking a question like: Are you guest of the hotel when you are holding a key of one of their rooms and asking about the working hours of the pool is a bit irritating. :)))

Unique Quality: The main product of Devin SPA hotel is balneology treatment. The have special programs depends on the time you are staying and the procedures you need.

The hotel operates year-round and is appropriate for family vacations and company events.

Orpheus Spa & Resort: Orpheus Spa & Resort

I have not stayed in the Orpheus Spa & Resort hotel. Had only walked around it and also visited the Orintal restaurant and the so-called Piano bar. I decided to put this tip here because this hotel is supposed to be something like a landmark in Devin. Among local people it is mostly know as the Dogan's hotel. Ahmed Dogan is the leader of the Turkish minority party in Bulgarian called Dvijenie za prava i svobodi (Movement for rights and liberty)

The building is probably the biggest one in Devin and to me it reminds a bit about communist style of building - megalomaniac scale of building for such a small settlement with not enough entertainment facilities around. what I find good about it is the spectacular view of the Rhodope Mountain and the park surrounding the hotel.

Unique Quality: It is advertised to have very good congress facilities as well as excellent sports and recreational facilities.
