Grand Hotel Velingrad

One of the best hotels in Velingrad

I have been in this 4-star-hotel in the beginning of February - several days after they have opened it after renovation (you can see some photos in the lobby from what point they have started - it was an old hotel before and how the renovation went through the years) and I was quite satisfied with everything they offer - friendly and kind staff, big and clean rooms, very good spa centre (sauna, jacuzzi, steam bath, ice room, etc.), 4 door and outdoor swimming pools with mineral water (the only thing I didn't like is that the spa centre and swimming pools are working till 8 p.m.). The price per night is for BB, the breakfast is on a block table and is pretty good. The hotel offers also conference halls and internet connection, so I guess it could be used also for company gatherings and business travel, but I haven't checked them personally.

By the way some info on the town Velingrad itself - it's one of the most popular Bulgarian balneological resorts. It lies at the western end of Chepino Valley, part of the Rhodope Mountains in Southern Bulgaria - 130 km away with a car from the capital Sofia

Unique Quality: For sure better than the other 4-star hotels in Velingrad I have been in - bigger and better spa center and swimming pools, rooms are bigger and everything is new inside... It's situated on a hill and gives a great view over the town of Velingrad.
