bus & timetable from Varna (Bulgaria) to Constanta (Romania)
Hi! Is there anyone who know whether there is bus / train going from Varna
(Bulgaria) to Constanta (Romania)in August? Moreover, please also tell me the
timetable of these transportations.
Re: bus & timetable from Varna (Bulgaria) to Constanta (Romania)
Hi there definitely is a direct bus service a couple of times a day and there used to be a timetable on www.autogari.ro However they seem to no longer be posting the timetable (maybe because it has changed recently). As well as the direct service there are also services via Balchik or Albena. For Varna to either of these you'll find timetables on www.bgrazpisanie.com and then you'll find onward timetables on www.autogari.ro
If you are going to be in Varna then you should be able to get the info re the direct service from the bus station there.
Have a good trip!
PS there is also a train service but that takes almost 8 hours - www.bahn.de
Travel Tips for Varna
Golden Sands is a resort which...
Golden Sands is a resort which is located in 18 km from Varna. It is the breathtaking scenery, picturesque beaches, clean sea, sun and mineral springs. It is situated on the territory of National Park 'Golden Sands' and it is an ecologically clean resort which has been nominated for the prestigious Blue Flag International Prize.
Golden Sands is the perfect choice for the holidays, entertainment, sports, spa treatment and new relationships.
The coast region is elevated and forested and slopes down terrace-like to the sea. The beach is almost 4 km long, up to 100 m wide and covered with fine golden-yellow sand. The sea bottom is comparatively steep-sloped. Several hot-water mineral springs used for healing and prophylactic purposes.
Golden Sands will leave you with unforgettable memories.
SOMETHING FOR THE GIRLS....
On monday's there's a true mens striptease, the entrance fee is 20 leva -includes all your drinks. Well some girls were so courage that they've danced on stage.... without any dress ;)
So this show can be interesting for boys too (have I told you for the free drinks???)
Continuing The Pub Search!
This was another place I sought out in my search for a proper pub only to find that it too was more of a restaurant than a bar. But never mind an excellent dinner was had washed down by a couple of glasses of the dark bock-style Stolichno.
Vikings actually looks like it should be a pub with it's long wooden L-shaped bar and barstools, but with no-one actually using them. It is a pleasant place though with a laid-back buzz and a mixed age clientele. The menu is pretty extensive (with English and German translations) mostly revolving around grilled meats - their "Meshana Skara" (mixed grill) served on a sizzling platter looked especially impressive.
I found the service excellent, though I was little disappointed to be handed the English menu without asking for it - Ach, maybe my Dobar Vecher needs a little tweak ;) On my one visit I opted for the Balkan Sausages with a potato salad and cheesy garlic bread and of course a brace of Stolichnos. The sausages were superbly meaty, with an interesting ketchup and mustard dip, the salad fine and as to the garlic bread... well that came as almost a whole loaf, freshly baked and topped with yellow cheese and delish tho' it was that defeated me!
A very substantial dinner enjoyed and if I remember correctly the bill was well under 20 leva.
See the swearing ceremony of the cadets
The swearing ceremony for the cadets of the Naval Academy of Varna, usually takes place around the 10 – 13 of August (it should be the second Sunday or Saturday of August, as much as I remember). rain or shine it is always performed on the plazza in front of the Cathedral.
Varna-one of my favourite cities
The biggest city on the coast. The third one(as a size) in Bulgaria.I feel Varna as my second home and every summer I come back here with pleasure.
Main port in Bulgaria, very inportant on the Black Sea.A lot of cargo and passenger ships, many yachts.
One of the most popular sea resorts in Bulgaria. People come here because they wanna learn more about the region and the country. There are a lot of hotels for all type of tourists. There are many landmarks you can go and see.The nightlife is also on high level.
