There are numerous resorts close to Varna itself. Golden Sands to the north and Sunny Beach to the south. Both are very touristy as you would expect, and you can find a lot of the same things in Varna at possibly half price.
Also nearby is St Konstantin, Kavarna, Kaliakra and Varna Lake.
Numerious restaurants serving...
by SOLA
Numerious restaurants serving Bulgarian national dishes, as well as European cuisine and exotic food-ranging from first entertainment spots and night clubs, featuring exciting floor shows, to small cozy fastfood restaurants right on the shore, hotel bars and discos - to suit every taste and preference.
For gourmets - Chinese, Indian, German, English, Greek and Arab cuisine.
My favorite restaurants: Happy Bar & Grill and La Bamba.
Here in Golden Sands you can eat and drink, and your bill will not be so high. You don't have to pay much money to be satisfied. A dinner with one beer costs $ 5-6. Half of that price at restaurants in Varna. It's quite cheap!
Roman Thermae
by bijo69
Varna has a couple of Roman ruins and biggest are the Roman Thermae. The original complex is thought to have covered an area 7000 sq metres, only a small portion of it still stands now. The baths were built in the late 2nd century AD when Varna (Odessos at that time) was an important Roman port.
You can wander around the ruins Tuesday to Sunday from 10am to 5pm. Admission is 4 BGN.
The Sea Garden
by desert_princess
The Sea garden spreads all along the shore , and is a great place to take a walk among beautiful green landscape. It is kept clean , the grass is green , the flowers are blooming ...
It has stairs and streams , blooming trees and old ladies selling crafts. Also an aquarium , observatory, navy museum and zoo garden.
