I am glad that you are actually from bulagaria since you aprobably have more of a handle on things bulgarian. I am acually from New York and will be coming to bulgaria with two other friends... and no. I have been around the world an love travel. i love european food, teh culture, the people, the architecture, and of course the friendliness of Europena women. Question:
1. Is Varna the best city to visit in bulgaria?
2. when the best time to visit so we can meet local people.

Options abound: you can come...

Options abound: you can come by train from Sofia or Ruse, or by bus from all over the country.
You can even reach Varna by minibus from Burgas!
Buy your ticket at least a day before you go in summer, many people go there to have fun in the sun (just like you!)
Many city busses are available.
Important is the 409 bus which connects Varna every 20 minutes to Golden Sands (1 Leva)

Visit The Black Sea - In it's Entirety!!

In front of the Aquarium in the Sea Garden is a popular children's play area. As well as the usual swings and roundabouts there's also a geographically correct scale model of the Black Sea and the surrounding areas. During the summer this becomes a kid's paddling pool doubling up as an educational resource with the mountain ranges, rivers and main towns and cities all marked.

Endless beach of Varna

"Short visit to Varna"

On my way to Sozopol we passed Varna by bus. I discovered it looks similar to Nikolaev, Ukraine.
It’s located on two banks of the river and some central streets are made of cobblestones. The city has a river port and nice long beach that you can reach by walking through the park that also reminded me post-soviet parks.
It’s very short distance from Sozopol to Varna (about 70 km) and I took a bus during the hot afternoon and went sightseeing to Varna. I didn’t have much time because the bus left in a couple of hours and I decided to explore the city. I had a map and it helped me to get to the beach.

"Unexpected encounter"

Guess whom I met in the park? It was famous Russian poet Aleksander Pushkin!
