on September 12, 2006Albatros is a 4* hotel of the Spanish group Iberostar. It is located in Cavtat, about 10 mn walking from the center, very easy to go.
It is a big hotel, with no particular charm but good facilities.
Rooms are nice, with balcons and many with sea view. Very clean. All you need : safe, hairdryer, cable tv...
Most of the people are in half board (for dinner). The hotel restaurant has a big buffet. Food is ok, with the choice you will always find something you like. Same thing for breakfast, lots of choice continental, american...
There a big nice swimming pool. There is also an indoor swimming pool, but it's not opened during the summer. There is a beach in front of the hotel, but it's so so (no sand).
There is a program of activities. During the day : aqua gym, aerobics, darts, croatian lessons...
And at night : music, bingo game, and other stupid but funny games !! However in september most of clients were pretty old and didn't wanted to take part to the animations, so it was a bit poor... There is also a mini club for kids.
The staff speaks good english and was helpful and friendly. Most clients in this season were russian or germans.
There are other services in the hotel with participation : hairdresser, beauty saloon, fitness room.
