Dubrovnik Backpackers Club
Originally, we weren’t too keen on staying here due to its distance from the Old Town, but in hindsight it wasn’t too bad. The distance was a bit inconvenient, needing a 15 minute bus ride to and from the Old Town and at 10kuna a pop, the price of transport started to clock up. Apart from the distance involved, the hostel was welcoming and comfortable and was a good place to base ourselves for two nights. The modern dorms are spacious and have en suite shower room and toilet which are spotless. All rooms are fitted with wi-fi and there are kitchen facilities upstairs and downstairs as well as free computer access.
The hostel gets great reviews on hostelbookers and hostel world and to be honest I can’t really fault it at all, but there is a lingering feeling that something is missing from the hostel. Maybe it’s the lack of atmosphere and homeliness in the hostel that has been evident in so many of the hostels I have stayed at in the Balkans. I can’t quite put my finger on it, but there is something a bit sterile and false about the hostel...it seems more business-like than other hostels.

Privat accommodation in Dubrovnik or nearby?
Hi from Talinn, Estonia
We'll arrival to Dub. by plane 16.08 at 20.30PM. Does somebody know, can we find the people in front of airport, who offers privat rooms for 2 nights in Dubrovnik, in Cavtat or nearby. Or we must take ASAP by public bus to Dubr. bus station (or port?). Are there buses at all at late evening?

No, there won't be people at the airport offering rooms. Buses meet every arriving flight.

These sobe offering people (sobe=rooms) are usually on bus/train stations, not on airports. You will certainly meet some of them when you'll arrive to Dubrovnik bus station.
Also, you can google a bit and will see there's a bunch of private renters in both, Dubrovnik and Cavtat (or surroundings).
