Villa Adriatic sits just east of the Ploce Gate into the walled city of Dubrovnik. Two of the rooms open onto a large terrace with view of the city, the Arsenal, the old harbor and Lokrum. The other 2 rooms consist of a 1-bedroom apartment and a room overlooking the Ploce Gate. They now have access to the terrace via a new exterior staircase.
Miroslav also runs the tourist agency downstairs and is a wealth of knowledge!

This is a Croatian city on the Adriatic Sea coast in the extreme south of Dalmatia, positioned at the terminal end of the Isthmus of Dubrovnik. The beauty of this place is best experienced by being there - on top of the walls giving 360 views of the mountains, the oceans and the varying terrain that are a sight to behold!
Its beaches are becoming popular and judging from the prices of good like 4 Euro each for a magnet or a bottle of water, it looks like it is destined to be a worldwide phenomenon in the travel industry!
Dubrovnik is not surprisingly one of the most prominent tourist destinations on the Adriatic, a seaport and the center of Dubrovnik-Neretva county.
Emerging from numerous destructions and rebuilding processes, it has triumphed and is now reaping the results of its people's resilience and hard work. The two-kilometre walls that form part of the old RAGUSA (Italian name of Dubrovnik).
Dubrovnik is an ancient town that was built within a maze of fortresses and moats with ramparts of cannon. The area has always been the envy of the region for it's beauty, from the clear waters of the Adriatic to the many Dalmatian Islands, therefore the walled, moated fortress had to withstand many invaders over the centuries.
Now, the old town of Dubrovnik has the heritage protection and the love of the world that for now, has brought a world of tourists back to walk the ramparts, that for ages protected the people. The city that stayed in the Renaissance, has added a beautiful modern bridge, just outside of the old town. Early evening and the meaning of the tagged moniker, Pearl of the Adriatic, comes to light as the coastline resembles a string of pearls with the bridge as it's oyster.
A must walk through old tow allows you to go back to the early days, winding up and around the many steps to reach the ramparts and the spectacular overview of the entire old town.
Dubrovnik was once called the pearl of the Adriatic, Dubrovnik's walls lay marble-paved squares, steps and streets ornamented with numerous finely carved fountains and palaces.
Dubrovnik is an exquisite white-stone town and on a mesmerising coastline.
