Clean and modern

We stayed half board for a week.
The hotel is clean ,modern and the staff polite and friendly.
There's no reason not to like the Uvala and given that a bus stops outside the door to take you to Old Town you never feel far from the main action.
Slightly disappointed by the downmarket feel of the evening buffet but the food quality was good even if the choice didn't always please.
Local restaurants within walking distance offer excellent food at good prices.

Unique Quality: A wellness facility...we didn't use

Island Korcula

Don't miss this island with all its beautiful turqoise waters and hidden bays and beaches (like uvala Zitna near Zavalatica or uvala Pupnatska Luka to name just two). Korcula town is also a wonderful experience not to be missed. Its fortress-like appearance and rich venetian architecture rivals even that of Dubrovnik, which is why many people call this place mini-Dubrovnik. Korcula town also gave birth to the first great traveller, the legendary Marco Polo and in the town you can see his house among other things. The channel between Korcula town and peljesac peninsula is a heaven for wind-surfers.

_orkova uvala

Near to Plitvice there is a place called _orkova uvala. Only that I don;t know what the '_' is, pesumably a croatian letter with accent.
Is it sorkova (from sorak = fate)
or corkova (from the name of the bird).
Can anyone help,

It is Æorkova (chorkova) uvala -
C with a little slash on top
probably from the name of the bird.

The name of the bird is cvorak (chvorak), so it isn't that. There exist, however, family name Corak (Chorak) in that region.

Cvorak is a bird, that's right!
Chorak is also a fake bullet, right?
What a family name. But I've heard of worse.
