Dubrovnik
I will stay in Hotel Ivka maybe in Lapad area. Please advise how I could get to Cavtat by public transport from the hotel and back on a day trip, or morning and vist Dubrovnik in the afternoon.

You will need to get a bus from the hotel to th eold town - Pile gate and then find the #10 to Cavtat. This VT link has lots of advice from VTers. The boat leaves from the Ploce gate. This VT link has most info

Mikebb says that the #10 goes through Gruz and Lapad. Maybe a short walk to the harbour area from your hotel for the bus would be best.
