Hi - considering visiting Dubrovnik area and wondering what the
weather is usually like at end of September.

We wetre there in early October last year and the weather was perfect for sightseeing and warm enough for quick swims during the day and al fresco dining at night.
Trying to predict the weather can be difficult because of local on the day variations.

September is one of the best months to be in Dubrovnik and the weather is still quite good. It's possible that you might see rain, but not likely much more than a shower or two. It's still plenty warm to swim in the sea and to sit outside at a cafe.
Dubrovnik bridge of Franjo Tudman from the Port of Gruž has shorten the travel time with 15 minutes for those who want to drive north. The bridge is a nice, white suspension bridge.

The very picturesque island near Dubrovnik, only 15 mins by boat. Green, with great trees and flowers and remnants of the old monastery and fortress.
A lot of people visit it for a day-trip, so did we. Beach activities in combination with sightseeing.
Along the main Stradun and off on the left as you walk away from the City gate you see glimpses of winding staircases, hanging laundry and open windows. These lend a view of local townfolk.....so step away and up!
There are many small & uncharted islands around the Elafiti archeopelago.
If I had my own boat, I would chart myself on all these islands !

An Irish couple, a French couple, husband & wife duos, & some old ladies from UK & USA.
Cheery as they were,...they were amazed of my travel stories !
Err, I was the youngest !
This cool square on the eastern end of the Old Town is a great place to come and have a drink. There are a couple other bars here that give the place the feeling of being somewhat of a "nightlife central." This place is small and I imagine pretty cramped, especially during the peak season when I'm sure the crowd spills out into the square. Despite the name, there was no jazz on the night I was here.
