The best breakfast ever with great view!

Ok, I have to admit it was far too expensive for us. But sometimes You can spend and enjoy :)

When You look up their webpages You fall in love - and next time it happens when You are actually at their terrace having Your first breakfast watching old Dubrovnik at same time. And there is no buffet, instead You are served and asked whatever You would like to have to start Your day the very best way!

The rooms are quite standard, but they all have balcony and it is nice to sit in small balcony in Your hotel bathrobe.

There is a possibility to use hotel's boat to get to the city, but it is up to Your timetable. We mostly walked - and there is also possibility to take a local bus (which is good alternative if You are going whole way to ferry or bus terminal).

Btw, it was nice to read hotel's guestbook with greetings from customers who first came to this hotel like 40 years ago and came back now.

Charming seaside hotel

We didn’t stay here in 2004, but we did during our honeymoon in 1986. We loved this hotel. It was bright and airy, rooms were very comfortable, with beautiful sea views. The interior was well appointed, and breakfasts were delicious. The hotel also had its own private rock beach where we could take a dip into the very pleasant Adriatic Sea

Unique Quality: This is a smaller hotel with only 40 rooms. All rooms have balconies. The hotel has its own boat to ferry you to and from the old town. It is also within walking distance (a long walk) of the town.

We had a wonderful stay here and would defintely pick this hotel if we planned to stay overnight again in Dubrovnik.

Paradise on the dalmation coast

In March 2002, my wife and myself had just started living in Zagreb, as I had a new project to manage. It was soon to be my wife's birthday, so I asked around and I was recommended to take her to Dubrovnik.

A local travel agent in Zagreb recommended the Hotel Villa Dubrovnik, as a romantic place to stay. They weren't wrong. They just under-estimated the romance of the place by about ten times.

The General Director, Nada, and her staff went overboard to make our stay perfect. And then we saw that they treated every guest the same.

The room was not large, but it was quite sufficient, and very clean and well prepared. However, the view from the balcony was truly outstanding, and we enjoyed a champagne breakfast and cocktails every morning that weekend. We went home with tears in our eyes and love in our hearts.

We enjoyed it so much that we went back the next weekend, just to see if we could extend the delight. We were not disappointed in any way.

Unique Quality: Great views, great views, great views, and finally, great views.

Just listen to the music and look at the views on the web site, and then fall in love with the place.

Oh! Dubrovnik. As the Russians say "Eto rai" (It is paradise)

Hotels in Dubrovnik

by Paultc

We are hoping to go to Dubrovnik in May/July after a lovely holiday in Porec last September at the Fortuna. Does anyone know of a good 3 or 4 star hotel in the Dubrovnik area where public transport is easily accessible so we can travel around at our leisure?

You'll walk everywhere in Dubrovnik (the old city is entirely pedestrianised), so public transport (other than ferry, to the islands) is not a factor. I recommend the beach-side Argentina, Excelsior and (smaller, further, but with boat transfers) Villa Dubrovnik.
