Lokrum: hide and seek ... by KristaB
Beaches on Lokrum island are natural flat stone terraces, perfect for sunbathing, swimming, people watching ? You can pick your favorite balcony and observe either sea or people, both very interesting. And often there are cruise ships anchored between Lokrum and coastline. Then you are lucky to be on the island, because Dubrovnik is easily overcrowded with hundreds, even thousands of fast walking picture clicking people who leave within couple of hours believing they know Dubrovnik. No, they just touched its polished marble streets. But some of them (those of romantic sensitive constitution are especially vulnerable) get addicted, and want to come back. The town is small, limited within those mighty walls - if you want to enjoy it, come in June or September. Taxi - boats transfers to Lokrum all day from old city harbor.
