GUYS PASSED OUT ON LAPUD BEACH MID DAY
Lopud town
our transport
Hi
ive booked to go July 07 but cant find too much info.
Does anyone know anything about the Hotel??
Anything really would be helpful.
I hope for a quiet, relaxing, scenic hloiday in the sun ..reading,walking, lazying about .....
cheers!
I stayed there a few years ago. The hotel does not really fit in with the character of the island but as it is at the extremity of the village it is not too overpowering. Good beach at Sunj which is about 30 mins walk across the island. Sandy and shallow with considerable use by nudists. Few bars in the village but otherwise quiet. Paths all over the island but take a drink with you because except for the beach and the village there are not a lot of places to get refreshments. Frequent ferries to Dubrovnik and also to Sudurad on the next island, Sipan. Weekends there is catamaran service to Mljet.
Hi, I live on Lopud. The hotel's been renovated and looks pretty cool now. You'll enjoy your time. My mother works in the hotel :)
Hi Claudia
many thanks for your reply!
Can i ask ,is the pool a good size and are there many sunbeds and umbrellas??
Ive emailed the hotel with no reply.
I envy you living on the island, looks perfect!
May see you in July then??
Andy
hi andy,
if you have sorted the tickets, it's enough just to appear there and at the tourist info office the girl can find you some private accommodation..there's plenty of..when are you arriving?
I'd really appreciate any feedback from people who have been to these locations. My partner and our three teenage boys are thinking of spending two weeks there next summer. What's the hotel (and food) like? Are there enough activities to keep three active lads interested? How much is the boat trip to Venice? Please help if you can.
Thanks,
Bruce
Hello Bruce.
We are two norwegian families who consider going to Lopud in July 2006. I've tried to find info on the internet, and have found some. Try this address:

Anyone who has something to tell about Lopud, please tell me too!!
Greetings from Rosendal, Hardanger!
Hi,
Lopud is a small island just a hour away by boat from Dubrovnik. "Lafodia" is only big hotel there and is situated on the edge of village, surrounded by pinewood and with a long sandy beach which going along the shore. Another large sandy beach is on the other side of the island and it could be some pleasant 20 mins walk trough pinewoods. Village itself, is very turistic devleoped with all facilities You need and many restaurants, bars, shops etc. All island is traffic free so no single car there (just some electric trolleys for supply).
Unfortunatlly Venic eis too far from Dubrovnik for any boat trip. But Im sure You can find some other day excursions to near islands, national park Mljet, Korcula.Anyway Dubrovnik could always be an option to escape from island as theres a well all day around boat service.
If You have more questions or need some tips or help feel free to ask me. Im living in Dubrovnik.
