We tried to stay in a farmhouse in Lumbarda, but couldn't get a room in the place that we'd picked out of our guidebook. Instead, we ended up driving onto the small peninsula on the northwest side of Lumbarda's tiny bay. There, we found plenty of accommodations, and picked a great one that was situated right on the water. We had a whole apartment to ourselves, with two bedrooms, kitchen, and bath, plus our own patio overlooking the shore. From there, we could walk into the main part of town along the shoreline. This was one of our best rooms on the trip.
