Apartments on the beach: Croatia, Dubrovnik, Stikovica, beach

Zaton is a village in southern Croatia, located on the coast of the eponymous bay, 8 km northwest of Dubrovnik, next to the village of Orašac. Chief occupations are farming, viticulture, olive growing and tourism.

Zaton is a tourist resort on the Dubrovnik Riviera, with restaurants, watersport venues, and an uphill hiking path to the village of Podbrezje (4.5 km), to visit Mociljska Cave with stalactites and stalagmites.

Zaton bay
The bay of Zaton is picturesque 2 km long bay, located 10 km northwest from Dubrovnik, divided into Veliki and Mali Zaton. The settlements around it have local names Zaton Veliki, Zaton Mali, STIKOVICA and Vrbica.

The Renaissance summer manors of former Dubrovnik aristocracies are a historical sight that makes Zaton bay recognizable as a Dubrovnik summer manor region. Noble families Guèetiæ, Menèetiæ, Sorkochevich, Saraka i Lukarevich had built their summer cottages in Zaton bay.

If you like to relax a few days near to the old city of Dubrovnik, this appartment will be a special one for people who enjoy a quiet and romantic flat with a beautiful view about the small beach and sea, directly under the window.

We stayed two times in 2009 in april and in september. Mario is a charming and friendly owner of the appartment and he will help you, if you need something.
