I went to Croatia last year and spent most of my time in Bol, went a few other places but returned to Bol, loved it!
This year, due to lack of funds I'm heading to Croatia September 13-22 as the flights are half the price. Is this out of season for Bol? I'm worried I might get there and the Varadero cocktail bar will be closed! Nightmare.

I´m sorry but I can´t help you about your question but I would like to ask you how Bol is like. Do you recommend spending one night there (can`t be more that that for me) I´m going to Croatia from the 20th to te 29th, don`t have much time. Brac island is worth it? is it overcrowded? and do you reckon I would be able to find a room without reservation?

In Sep the highest season is over, but the season is still on. Less intense though. Think your fave club will work.
Above the harbour you find the cute old church Sv. Ante. It’s open for visitors, so make sure you have a look inside. Next to the church there is a small park with benches and a good view over the harbour and the Riva.
Another small old church is just before you reach the Golden Beach. There you can only look through the window but you will not see so much, but your camera will see more ;)
Even in September it was already coolish and very windy when the sun was shining. So take your sunhat and sunglasses with you and put some sunlotion on. There is a pharmacy in town. We saw a couple of internet cafés and used one. I mention this in case you need to download something. Make sure you visit the tourist office. There is one right by the harbour where you arrive by catamaran. This one doubles as library. Then there is another one by the bus station along the Riva and here we got some information brochures. There is a special map if you plan to ride a bicycle around the island.
Except the famous beach of bol in form of triangle, you have other beautiful and nice beaches.
I strongly recommend the 2 beaches near the monastery and especially the one on the pic. It's smaller, in a beautiful bay in front of the monastery, closer to the center and the watter is cleaner. But the entrance is not so easy to find, good luck !!! ;-)
At the Western end of Bol starts the pedestrian promenade which is at first lined with various stalls that sell beach items and souvenirs. You then pass the various hotels catering for beach holidays.
Just before you reach the Golden Beach you will pass a small church (photo no. 2) on your right where your camera may see more than you (photo no.3).
Bol has some fascinating sculptures to look at and take pictures of. My favourite is without doubt the one of the two men by the harbour. It never gets boring looking at it because of its angle.
We saw another sculpture of a mother with child on our walk to the monastery (picture no. 3).
In the harbour itself there is another one (picture no. 4).
