Pucisce bay by BarbaraForza Once you are in Pucisce, look for the tourist office (there is only one) and ask for an apartment. The owner will bring you few metres far to show you a very good place to stay. He is also the owner of two coffee bars and a kind of restaurant closeto the tourist office.
The apartment is in perfect condition and you'll find everything you might need. Only ?30 each day for the apartment (not for each person, for the apartment). Theme: OtherComparison: about averageAddress: Pucisce, centreDirections: Pucisce, Otok Brac

Arriving in Bol in June, not having booked and wanting a two-bedroomed apartment, we went to Bol Tours to see what they could do for us. A quick phone call, a five minute wait and a young man was outside on a moped ready to show us the way to the apartment they offered. It was great, light and bright, spotlessly clean, a big balcony with a view over rooftops of the sea and the tower of the Dominican monastery opening off a comfortable and sufficiently well-equipped kitchen for the amount of cooking I'm prepared to do when on holiday. There was plenty of hot water - though I'd bring my own towel along next time, just in case, as I do like something bigger than a teatowel to dry myself off with. It suited us down to the ground. Not that we expected it to be otherwise - this was not the first apartment we'd stayed in whilst on holiday in Croatia and, without exception, we were thoroughly satisfied. At just 10 euros per person a night, this one in Bol was the best bargain however - but you'd have to expect to pay more once the season really gets into gear.
Our hosts were charming and very welcoming. They greeted us with a bottle of wine, a bowl of apricots and a plate of cookies waiting on the kitchen table and before we left we had our cevapcici cooked for us and brought back with a big bowl of yummy chips made from home-grown potatoes. Fresh tomatoes appeared for a salad another day. There was help with phone calls and finding houses (we were on a quest and serendipity put us within a hundred metres of MrL's grandfaher's birthplace) - and, always, a smile.

Bol has loads of self-catering accommodation, most of it apartments right in the town. This little house, set down among vineyards a few hundred metres up the hill out of town suited us just fine though. Newly built, spankingly clean, comfortably furnished in unfussy Ikea style it offered two double bedrooms, bathroom, well-equipped kitchen-living room and, best of all, a wide terrace with a panoramic view of the town and across the Hvar Channel to Otok Hvar (Hvar Island). With no near neighbors or passing traffic, nights were peaceful and serene. Owner Antun (Antonio) was most welcoming and helpful. We've already booked again for this year, I'm sure we're not the only returnees.
The view is beautiful and, although not everyone might want to be away from the action in the town, it suited us perfectly. You'd probably want to have a car to stay here - it's not that far out of town but uphill, on a hot day, coming to and from the beach or with bags of shopping (there's a supermarket just at the bottom of the hill) - having the car was good. There is a stony track leading up to the house from the bottom of the vineyard - we chose to leave the car at the gate there and walk the last 50 yards or so each day rather than negotiate the fairly tight turn at the top. We hadn't reserved anything when we arrived in Bol last summer at the end of july. The hotels there were all full. At the reception of one of the hotels, the receptionist called a friend of a friend of a friend who had an appartment to rent. It was absolutely great, clean, cheap, right in the center of Bol and the lady who rented it to us was extremely friendly, she brought us coffee and towels and soap and that kind of things.

I didn't stay here but rode by it - located a bit outside the center but still within the main town.

little house, perfect for 2-3 people by travelbug102 This was the reason I choose Brac over Hvar or Korcula. This gem of a house is located 10 minute walk from Bol. It's secluded, in an olive grove, 4 beds, kitchen and a great view from it porch down to the Adriatic and a 15th century Franciscan church. All for a mere $25/night (offseason). God bless the owners!

The room was minimally furnished - but the shower was great. Unobstructed views of the harbor and Hvar in the distance. Some rooms have terraces - but need to be requested when making a reservation. Breakfast was simple but adequate - the staff very helpful. Excursion boats are just a 1 minute walk away. Prime, central location.
