Decent room, great location
I stayed in a private room I booked by going to the privately run Turis Biro office along the Riva (Riva 12). I paid 130 kunas for the room, which is an okay price. You might do even better if you arrive via the bus station and arrange a room directly with the homeowner. The room was nice, with a small desk and the lady of the house provided me with a space heater that kept me warm. The common bathroom was down the hall.
Unique Quality: The location only a couple blocks away from the Old City center was great. Very quiet and only a ten minute walk to the heart of Diocletian's Palace.
