Ciovo
by acemj
Just across from the Riva, you'll see the island of Ciovo, a quaint place that provides excellent views across the Trogir Channel to Trogir's medieval town. I only walked along the waterfront of Ciovo, so I can't tell you much more than that.
Another obvious off the beaten path locale is, of course, Split. I think most people who visit Trogir are probable based in Split as I was. The bus will take you to the bus station just across a tiny bridge from the northern entrance to Trogir's medieval town.
Coat of arms
by JLBG
Left to the museum, close to Narodni Trg, a tall house with a gemelled window stands proudly. On the front wall, two coats of arms. One has three lion's heads topped by a bishop cap and the other with oblique stripes is the coat of arms of Trogir.
The Town Loggia
by croisbeauty
The Loggia was built in 1311, but the current one is from the 15th century. It was the half-function public object, the protection and stamping-ground and at the same time the courtrooms. If only it can tell the stories from the past centuries. This open courtroom served as a tribunal where all those who have violated the law were condamned, punished and disgraced in front of the fellow-citizens.
Trogirski kanal
by JLBG
The three photo was taken from the Riva towards Trogirski kanal and Ċiovo island, a new part of Trogir.
The first photo is a general view and the second an enlargement that shows the many cruising boats, sailing or motor that anchor in this well sheltered mooring.
The old Trogir quay is for larger boats such as this one, an old style charter boat.
