hostel in Zadar, not so near centre
We opted for the hostel since october have camps already closed and weather can be issue too, nevertheless: it can rain, can be windy, and it's not that warm (at our visit night temperatures were near 10 degrees and were only about slightly more than 15, a little cooler weather there was than mostly on average Octobers).
YH Zadar is few kilometers from city centre and your best way to reach it would be by buses (no. 5 and 8) or by taxi.
Unique Quality: Since we stayed after main season (hostel is opened whole year) there were not many guests so we didn't bother to book in advance, which is a must if you plant to visit during peak months (middle June to end of August).
We took a room with private bathroom - we were 3 people, the beds inside room were 6 altogether. It's clean, but the rooms with shared bathrooms looked small and weren't airy, so it's better to take ones that have bathroom (especially in hot summer) because they looked brighter and bigger.
Anyways, you should inquiry at the reception or via email on your room possibilites, but hostel is popular option with budget tourists and students groups so you might have limited choice if it's peak season.
In that case I'd recommend private accomodation. Believe or not, final price differs not that much from hostel's price and you have your own privacy.
You can simply give breakfast a miss. It's served early, between 8-9.

This is a private house with rental of apartaments. It is directy situated on the beach, and no so far from a city center ...you can locate it on a map ..
