Tne Jadran Hotel is very attractively situated looking out over the sea to the island of Čiovo, the only blot on the landscape being the large rusting shipyard buildings opposite to Trogir, which are, apparently going to be demolished after one further ship has been built there.
Although the blocks containing the bedrooms had a rather utilitarian appearance, they were actually very comfortable inside. Ours shared a large balcony with other rooms and from it we saw glimpses of the sea through pine trees, which provided some welcome shade.
The food served buffet style was generally excellent, and the staff were generally pleasant and helpful.
We did have 2 complaints about the hotel. One was that it was not possible to set up a tab to pay for lunches, drinks etc., and the other was that the staff tended to be excessively keen for us to leave the breakfast tables when 9.30 came round, even going round ringing a bell!
