Just over a small hill from the town of Mali Losinj, the A/C Cikat is a good place to stay. It is located directly on the coast at the edge of a small bay. We camped right on the edge near the walkway that snakes around the coastline, but back in the trees. We were literally 20m from the water. There are showers, a small store and even outdoor refrigerators.
Being close to the water is the best part about this. You hear it at night and when you wake up in the morning. Also out towards the edges of the camp amoung the rocks, bathing suits are optional. It took a little while for me, a puritanical American to get used to, but I prefer to "skinny dipping" now to swimming with a bathing suit. We booked a 4 person apartment based on the information (pictures etc) on the website. We ended up in an apartment earlier advertised as a 2+2, not the one we booked. The hosts did not admit this, and said we should be happy or go somewhere else. (Going elsewhere is hard in the peak season.) There was no advertised washing machine, two persons had to sleep on fold-up bed and sofa, kitchen had no oven or cupboard space for food, nor dining table.
I would not recommend this as the hosts misrepresented the accommodation and were rude to us. Better 2+2 apartments were available at better prices (prices are per week per flat)
Fasana as such was ok for family holiday.
The website only shows 2 apartments (for 4 & 6 persons) today, before we complained to the hosts 3 apartments were shown.
Hosts are ready to tell you to go elsewhere if you are not happy, but this is not so easy when you arrive in July, late night after long travel.
