Imperial Hotel

We checked for a good deal and Hotel Imperial seemed like a good one. There is no driveway in front of the hotel, so we had to stop at a steep road next to the hotel to unload our luggage and needed a key for the hotel carpark. That was a bit of a hassle.

The breakfast buffet was a joke...

The rooms are very old and built in this old fashioned way with very high ceilings. If you like that sort of stuff, go for it.

Check out was also quite a pain. They said their credit card system is down and asked for cash. We insisted however to pay with credit card and asked for a manual transaction. It took the guy like 10 minutes to find this old ritsch-ratsch credit card machine. But at least we were able to keep our cash and pay via card.

Unique Quality: Location wise, the hotel offers all you need. If you got a room with sea view, you will enjoy a great view over the Adria.

Hotel Imperial, situated in the center of the town is second oldest in Opatija. It was the favorite hotel of the Central Rueopean high society at the end of the 19th century.

Unique Quality: There are 127 rooms in this three stars hotel all with phone and TV-set. Right across the street there is the biggest Opatija beach and beautiful city park.
The most attractive is the famous Opatija Imperial coffee shop with a terrace.
