My husband and I are thinking on booking a holiday to porec in early june and would like to know what temperature is average for this time of year please?
http://www.world66.com/europe/croatia/porec/lib/climate
will give you climate tables.
Quite pleasant, I think.
early june you will most likely have around 20 to 25 degrees celcius.
you should be unlucky to get rain, but it could happen.
i was working in that region last year in early june and roughly 9 out of 10 days were good.
porec has quite a bit to offer culturally too, so it's a good place in case you should get a rainy day.
Trying to predict the weather can be difficult because of local on the day variations.
This information should be used as a guide only.
Here is the average weather for Porec for this time of year.
Enjoy your holiday
June.
High 77f / 25c
Low 60f / 16c
Rain 3.10in / 80.0mm
Rain days 15
Hours of sun 8
Daylight hours 16
UV level 8 = Very High

There are several companies that will take you on a day trip to venice. You leave in the morning about 7.30 ( earlier if they pick you up at the hotel, and come home about 20.00. The trip over takes about 2½ hours and its a pleasant trip. well it usually is but on the way home when I went there there was too much wind and people got sick on the boat.
You get to spend 7 hours in Venice. Upon arrival we go for awalk, to the St. Marco's Square passing near to the famous Doge's Palace, Bridge of Sights, St. Marco's Campanile, "The Golden Basilica"... The sightseeing is followed by a visit to the famous glassworks of Murano. You can then chose to follow the guide or go on your own and explore the town by yourself. I would recommend the last option as you obviously get to see a lot more by yourself. You always have the opertunity to meet up with the guides who are carrying yellow umbrellas.
In the afternoon there is possibility of a unique gondola ride or joining the Grand Canal Tour, and plenty of time for a walk to the Rialto bridge through the main road with its thousands of small shops with the famous masks. On the way back the duty free shop is on board. Price includes trip to Venice, sightseeing, visiting the Murano glassworks, guide and return transfer to your hotel. the price is about 440 kn for adults first child free and next half price.. ohh do i sound like a guide or what?:-)
The Romanesque house (Romaniċka kuċa) is in Matije Gupċa park. It has an outside staircase and a wooden balcony and was built in the 13th century on the basement of a Roman house. It is the only of its period remaining in Poreč. The wooden balcony has been rebuilt in 1930, exactly alike the older one. It is now an ethnography museum.
You can get everything you might forget in there for reasonable prices. Nothing to do with packing but IMPORTANT!!!:
All summer long in small inland villages around Porec 'Festas' are being held. For these events these towns are completely closed for traffic, and everyone gathers there for a big party. Live bands, are there, food and wine stands are everywhere. And food is yummy (poor little piglets...). I went to a couple of these one in Tar and one in Zminj and I had great time.
Getting to Porec from Toronto Canada where I live was quite a nightmare. You have to change two flights to get to Zagreb, and that is the easy part. Then you have to get to bus station from the airport (1 hour using a bus) and then catch a bus to Porec (300km distance). The ride lasts around 5 hours, and bus goes very slow. Visits almost every village on the way. I enjoyed even the ride since I haven't been here in 10 years and I missed everything so much. All together took me around 20 hours to get to Porec, but it was well worth it.
Take a cab in Porec when you go out in the evening but negotiate the price first. For excursions to Vrsar, Lanterna and other attractive places around Porec bus will do - it is very cheap and relatively reliable. For everything else - beach, shopping - walk.
