It was very convinient when I owned a condo in Porec so I did not have to worry about lodging arrangements. This time we had to find a place to stay for the first time. Four of us rented a house for 17 days through the agency 'Anitours'. They were very friendly and accurate in information they gave us.
Average during season 80DM for 4 people per day.
House is fully equipped so we could cook by ourselves. It has a huge balcony but not much af a view. Beddings were changed often, towels every day. Since we were there at the end od the season we had different prices for different days: August middle - 90DM per day, end of August 80DM per day, September 70DM per day.
Hotel Delfin is a very big 2 star hotel in Zelena Laguna. Some of the rooms have some really bad deco but others are light and nice. If you are lucky you can get a room overlooking the pool or the sea. For a 2 star hotel its quite nice.
The Riviera resort is placed 10 minutes by car outside Porec at the Lanterna peninsula. With is rocky bathingplaces and lots of activities for all ages it is the perfect familydestination.
Accomodation is either with apartments, camping or hotel. We chose a 3 bedroom apartment and although the standard was not the best it was clean and ok fitted with appliances.
There are several restaurants onsite with a range of local, italian and international dishes. The prices are good but strangely enough the prices and menues look allmost the same for the whole resort. Still...croatian food is nice.
At the central building the front desk is located together with medical office, shops and a couple of nightclubs. A disco in the basement and a live stage offers plenty of things to do at night.
The thing i loved the most was the local bakerman that parked his bakeroutlet right outside my apartment every morning. With a choise of bread, hotrolls and pastry this was a place we visited every morning before breakfast.
Horsebackriding, boatrental, nudistbeaches, and watertaxi.....you all find it on the Riviera resort.
A resort located in a forestcovered peninsula with rocky beaches. I love this place and would really like to come back with my family someday
these are mobilhomes close to the beach as you can see on the pic. When I was there it just opened but I hope they got all the things sorted by now.
I was playing photographer for the tourist agency, so I feel i have the right for showing the pics here..
This is a fine place for people who don't wear to feel clothes around their bodies, who love the sun on every part of their bodies and well, the feeling is great, I know from own experience....

All mod.cons (modern conveniences) so plenty of hot / cold water washbasins, showers, places for laundry etc.
Here too, dogs are allowed.
You can also book (service) for a whole season and the winterstay of caravans is allowed.
Lots of possibilities to sport and get or keep your body fit....

This way of booking seems to be "normal" here, so call the CENTRAL BOOKING: ANITA HR 52450 VSRAR TEL. 441 222
As I told you: they know all you need to know.
*** can't "scan" the papers and pictures I have but I can tell you that all these places, mentioned above, are VERY fine!
this agency specialises in finding private appartments( apartmani) for tourists. They have 2 offices, one in the center and one in the way into town. The women in the office speak italian, german, english and well croatian. They are very helpful and always smiling:-)
We arrived in Porec at almost 10pm. Luckily spotted a "zimmerfrei" sign outside this restaurant. The rooms are very basic, little more than a bed and a washbasin but, they are clean, comfortable and incredibly cheap! I spotted very few alternative places to stay in town, most people appear to stay in the complexes out of town, these are very much for package tours.
Plava Laguna "owns" a lot of the most pleasant hotels and their CENTRAL BOOKING number is: PLAVA LAGUNA TEL. 410 101
Make sure to give them a call!
We stayed at Polska 5, some croatian womens house, about a 10min walk from town. it was booked through an agency called euro tours in town. it cost 51 euro for 2 rooms a night. we had access to the kitchen , shower and a balcony. the women was friendly although spoke no english so the only words we said to her were 'chow' and ..er...'chow'.
We booked our apartment from the website www.porec24.com. We choose to stay in villa "Jasmina", which is located 150 metres from the sea.
sea view, tv/sat, big room, quite cheap, own babeque place, big terrace, friendly housekepper, nice garden, calm area.
