Hi,
If you are not with the car, than I suggest you bus to rijeka, and than from rijeka to Mali Losinj or by catamaran or by bus. Following are some time tables for above:

Like most houses in the Decumanus, this Venetian Gothic style palace(first photo) is difficult to look at and it is difficult to take a picture, as there is absolutely no space in front to have a general view. Too bad !
However, on this close up on the windows (second photo), it is possible to see more clearly the delicately carved pillars on each side of the windows as well as the coat of arm in the middle.
This is the photo of the seagulls flying ! Taken on top of the boat...it's a 2 storey boat, y' see...
That could only mean one thing...we were surrounded by seagulls ! All around the boat...Yes ! Very nice !
There are several WINE CELLARS and taprooms: here follow a few addresses, then it is up to you which one to choose, where to go ........
And believe me, many of you always talk about beer but they probably never ever tasted the SLOVENE WINE, it is SUPERB.....
Perhaps you will get an opportunity as we had, to taste HOME MADE WINE....

Rovinj is a beautiful little port just up the coast. Lots of people offer boat trips from Porec or from Zalena Laguna and it is well worth making the trip. You can admire the scenery (and the the nudists) from the boat and soak up the sun. The port itself is only tiny and a leisurely stroll soon covers all the main sights. A walk up to the church gives you a great view over to the sea. There are lots of little cafes and restaurants serving italien-influenced food (lots of sea-food pasta and risotto). If you travel to the little island you can go swimming, but we were content just to eat ice cream and watch the boats.....
The MOSAICS that decorate the face of the church and its interior fall into the catagory of the MOST beautifully preserved works of Art of that kind in the World.
Besides the splendid mosaics, the inside of the Basilica is decorated by plastering plaster and incrustations, which have been partly preserved.
The monumental Gothic Pyx is from the year 1277.
A large number of sacral works are kept in Euphrasius' Basilica.
Amongst them are the late Gothic Style Choir pews from the 15th Century and "THE LAST SUPPER", oil on canvas, by the Venetian Painter Jacop Palma Jr..
Here you see a wonderful picture and you must imagine yourself standing in the Basilica under the arches and looking up, admiring the painting high up above you!
