The history of the hotel goes back into Hapsburg times of the town, when "Riviera" was built. It had its glorious days, but was neglected ecpecially in the last decades of the passed century. The hotel is situated in the historic centre of the town, just a foot from the Arena, and offers an magnificent view of the harbour bay of Pula.
Recently the hotel was completely reconstructed hoping to bring back the old glory of it. The front facade is newly painted and now the refresh hotel looks very nice, since it is one of the most beautiful building in the whole town. The double room costs less then 50 euros in the high season.
Hotel Riviera is the oldest in town, use to be the best one, but unfortunatelly this are so-called "tempi passati". It was the first modern hotel built in 1908 in the Viennese Secession style.
This classical yesteryear hotel is situated close to the Roman amphitheatre and just a few hundredes of meters from the railway station.
