Youth hostel is located on the outskirts of town, in one of the numerous coves around Pula. It is well connected with the center of the town, just take the local bus to Verudela. You wont find many hostels situated right on the sea-shore and having it's own beach. It is in the pieceful area and yet, in a walking distance from the nightlife spots.
There are 6B or 8B accomodations and the price is 15-17 euros.
The seashore around the town is over 150 km long. There are plenty of splendid natural beach resorts in the town like Stoja, Valkane, Lungomare Ribarska koliba or Punta Verudela, which can be seen on this picture. The sea-water is very clear and clean, fully recommendable for all kind of beach activities.
The moste beautiful beach you can go to in pula is Verudela beach, thre is an hotel too The thing I miss moste in pula is The weather, the beach, and the city. At night in Pula if you stand on the beach, and if you look up in the skyes you can see the lighting of the city.
You can get to Pula by your own or rented boat. There are two big marinas in the town, one in a huge harbour of Pula (see the picture), and another in the area of Verudela called Bunarina. Both marinas are very well equiped, offering to nautic tourists everything they need.
This is a history of being built during the Austrian era as a fort in 1886 called Fort Verudela. Today this started to become an aquarium in 2002, and has evolved into tow levels now and has 60 pools for sea life. WE did not go inside because of little time. The entry is around $8 and it looks like they still are in process of promoting the sites. It states to be open 10-6 off season and 9-10Pm during summer months.

Does anybody know the fastest and cheapest way to get into Pula itself from the airport, more particularly the Punta Verudela Resort? Is there a shuttle bus or some kind of public transport? Also, do the majority of people accept euros or is it worth getting Croatian currency! I go next week (Oct 2008).

There is a bus service into Pula (can't find a timetable, but there will most likely be a bus waiting when you arrive, such services tend to link in with arrivals) and taxis, of course. You should agree the price of the latter before setting off.
It is always worth using local currency, imo. Using euros opens you to all sorts of potential troubles/scams re exchange rates.
you should get Croatian currency, which is kuna. They don`t accept euro at stores,
bars, markets..
Maybe in hotels or taxies, but I wouldn`t count on that.
Get kuna from the many ATMs.
There is a bus timetable but i have never seen a bus in the many times i have flown in and out of Pula. Taxi should not be more than 15GBP to Verudela.

Check out http://www.pulainfo.hr/en/zracna.asp. The price (as of Oct 07) is 25 kune (2.35 GBP) one way from airport to Pula central bus station.

I'm arriving in Pula airport this month and would like advice on transfers to the Verudela Beach & Villa Resort. Are there regular buses or is the taxi a better option?

Buses are not regular but if you are lucky, take one into town. Agree a fare with a taxi driver before beginning your journey.

No Ryanair bus from the airport, just scarce local bus. From Pula you can take a 3a or 2a bus to Verudela.
We are stopping on peninsula of Verudela, Pula. Is there an FKK Beach/Nudist area within walking or cycling distance, and exactly where is it?

Camping Kažela in Medulin 5-6 km from Verudela. It has almost 1 km of coast. Not really a beach but perfect for swimming or resting on grass.
In Verudella you can not go nude , however Medulin 8 km away has a large nude camp Kazela, and in Kamenjak Premantura also 10 km away it's possible to go nude
