Hotel Adriatic

I chose this hotel because of its location (right in the heart of old Rovinj, with an amazing view of the harbor. I also got a 50% off deal from their website. It was a clean and comfortable place, with a great breakfast buffet in the morning. While the outer building is beautiful and historic, the rooms are very austere - an unfortunate renovation opportunity missed. But the staff were nice and helpful. Overall a very nice stay.

Unique Quality: Awesome views of the Rovinj harbor, great location

Directions: Head towards the main parking area, tell the booth you are staying at the Adriatic, they will give you a pass to enter the pedestrian-only area of old town. Drive in and drop off your bags, and then the hotel will give you a pass to park in their lot.

While many of Rovinj's hotels are away from the old town, the Hotel Adriatic is right in the middle of everything. Situated on the main town square, adjacent to the boat docks, it is a great spot for eating breakfast outside watching the town come to life.

My single room was on the 3rd floor (no elevator) and was very comfortable with roomy bathroom with shower. I had cable TV.

Unique Quality: The hotel staff was very hospitable. I arrived with no reservations and the woman who was most often at the front desk took very good care of me. She was always eager to give directions and recommendations. My 4 night stay here was extremely comfortable and relaxing.

Breakfast is included and is a nice buffet. I loved eating on the outdoor patio, watching the town come to life each morning.
