Any: Private accommodation booking

If you happen to arrive in Rovinj without any previous booking, then a clever option is to take advantage of the services of numerous "Tourist Infromation Centres" located on the main road leading to Rovinj centre (as you come after you turn from the main highway).
They can offer you several options as they seem to cooporate with a lot of private accommodations. Just tell your budget!

Budisa rooms & apartments: Nice option not far from center

We arrived in Rovinj without having booked anything!!! Of course I was optimistic that despite this is a very touristic place, the season was not that high so there could we find somewhere to rest our bodies! On our way to the city centre I noticed an information centre (private) where you could ask for accommodation. The man in service was very helpful and he booked a nice room with breakfast for us for 50€ per night.
The room was situated in a peaceful area next to the satdium around 10-15 walk to the old city. The room located on the first floor of a private house(but in separate entrance), was spacious with an suite bathroom, AC and was very clean. Almost comparable to any hotel room.
Breakfast was served on the same floor but this was not exceptional.
Excellent value for money in mid-range option
Parking was also provided (but limited to 3 cars) but no problem to park it on the pavement outside the accommodation
Good english spoken by the landlady

App Modrusan: Family apartment in Rovinj

We stayed at the 2 bedrm/2 bathrm/2 terraces apartment here, it was very comfortable, clean, nice hot shower and located in a quiet area that is within easy walking distance of the town and the sea. Very handy for walking back after our nights out! The Modrusan family are very helpful and friendly - they brought us nice cold beers on our arrival! We paid £250 for a week in October for the five of us, we booked on net using www.istra.com - look under 'private accommodation'.

There are bicycles here that the Modrusan family have provided for their guests use - and also a town map to help you find your way around. There is a nice enclosed garden with a BBQ & private parking too.

Sorry, but I could take you there: Rooms are where it's at

Definately recommend Martin's appartments at No 2 V. Širole Paje Rovinj. The family were really friendly. You have to stay in apartments in towns like this. There are loads of rooms around but how busy they are? Recommendation is to book in advance in summer. The family lived downstairs and we upstairs. The daughter spoke English but only limited from Martin and his wife, mind you better than my Croatian. We had great fun trying to explain the best route to places around Croatia. We found this from a website see below. Price was 700 Euros for a fortnight for the 2+1 appartment. Basic shower and a gas stove with a nice balcony and air conditioning if needed. One double bedroom with the settee converting to a doule bed. A telly with loads of channels but only one in English BBC World (excluding CNN of course) where we could check out the weather in the UK.Funny we only used the air con a few times see my comments on the weather bah!

Monte Mulin: cheap and cheerful

We stayed at Monte Mulin for 5 nights. It's a package holiday resort which caters mostly to people from East/Central Europe and Russia. The rooms were small and worn but clean. They were also cleaned daily during our stay. We got fresh towels also almost every day. We asked for a "sea side" room which meant our room and balcony were overlooking a quiet bay. If you're backpacking or travelling through Croatia and wanted somewhere to hole up for a few days to catch some sun and swim in the sea but also be close to a town then consider Monte Mulin. We were there in mid-september and paid around Eur 26/night each.

The hotel offers B&B and BB/D options but we went B&B only. The hotel is only 25mins walk from Rovinj, even with a heavy backpack. It has a disco on site (we never went) and a beach with a snack bar nearby as well (although you're better off not eating there as it was quite expensive).

http://www.inforovinj.com: Great site for Rovinj Apartments for Rent

This site has listings for accomodations in Rovinj. The site usually includes photographs and prices of apartments and rooms for rent. There is also a pretty good description of what is found in the rooms (A/C, heating, TV, telephone, etc.). I'm seriously considering taking a couple of weeks vacation in Rovinj and I'll use this site to book a room or aprtment. i just thought it might be useful to some of you who are looking to go tolovely Rovinj!

Local tourist office

There are plenty of pensions avaliable in Rovinj. The tourist office is just round the corner from the coach station. We paid about 18 Euro's a night. You have to pay 13 Euro's to the tourist office so they can register you with the local police this is standard practice in Croatia

The camping near Rovinj

The great positiv eabout this campsite is it's the nearest to town, and it has a great view as you can see. However it is noisy as the road pass by and because it is really dry down in Croatia, so expect a rocky, hard, dry soil.

I really enjoyed seeing the city at sunrise. All I had to do was to unzip the door of my tent and peek through.

Adriatica.net: Reliable, wide selection

It is not really an accomodation, but an online service providing both information and booking on a wide selection of hotels, private houses, etc. Last year the 4 of us booked a nicely looking appartment near Rovinj, all the given information, price and the state of rooms were correct. I can suggest you trying www.adriatica.net, however I do not have any interest in forwarding clients:). btw, if I know well, they are only dealing with croatian accomodation.

Private pansions / Appartments

Pensions&Appartments in family detached houses are fully equiped for self catering, consist of 1-4 bedrooms with kitchens, bathrooms with shower or Bath and WC.

Most of them have balcony or terrace, private parking areas and garten areas aswell. Private accomodation is highly recommendable, you can stay inside the historic centre or close to beach resorts just according to your preferences. Moreover, it is very clean and less expensive then the hotels.
