Kuljis Apartment: perfect view of Bisevo and the Adriatic...
Ms. Kuljis met me at the bus stop and showed me around Komiza - pointing out places to rent a motor bike, where to get breakfast, etc. She and her husband have apartments and rooms to rent - all at very reasonable prices. I chose a room with a private bathroom and a perfect view of Bisevo island. The riva is just around the corner to the right and a small pebbled beach cove to the left. In the early evening numerous Komizans gathered to fish for calamari at the water's edge. At night the sound of the waves or wind whisteling through the masts' of the many sailboats moored drifted through my window. This was my first experience renting a soba - I highly recommend it.

Hotel Bisevo: Local Hotel
Service is friendly and rooms clean.
By western standards it is more of a motel than a hotel, though It does have a restaurant.
It is functional and the staff are wonderful, but if you are looking for a 4 star with all the amenities, this would not be for you.
But if you are looking for local favor and a lovely setting that is close to everything this would be a perfectly good place to stay.

Private rooms for rent: Sobe. Zimmer. Room for Rent.
I can't stress this one enough & will include this tip on every "accomodation" page it applies to. When and where it is available, stay in private accomodations. They were, in my experience, wonderful. While I am fortunate enough to have family to stay with in Komiza, I met other tourists who were very pleased with the private accomodations they found on the island. Some were right on the water with wonderful views at a fraction of the cost of the one hotel in Komiza.
Unique Quality: The personal touch & helpfulness of the propetiers.
