The beaches of Medveja
Just south of Lovran the most beautiful beaches of this part of Croatia can be found. The village has two long crescents of shingles: one can be pretty crowded and is near a large campsite. The campsite is beautifully located in a narrow valley with rocks and forests on both sides. It's possible to hire a little house on the campsite and there are some little shops and a restaurant on it as well.
The other beach is on walking distance a little more to the South (behind the rocks with the little palace and minigolf). This one is more quiet and is partly used as a nudist beach. A little river is flowing in the sea and when we were there, young people were camping wild in the forest next to the beach. Sitting on the beach in the evening with the little noise of the river that flows into the sea and the sun slowly disapearing behind Mount Ucka.
