Wild camping or on your boat
Most people stay on other islands and come out for day or half day trips. I don't know if camping is permitted, but in 1972 when some friends and I camped on another island, we did not ask ;-) You could always ask the islanders, if there are any left. Most people of this area are very friendly, and might easily put you up in their own home.
If you have a boat of your own, it is possible to stay over in the main harbour or in the Mezoporat cove, at least when the sea is calm.
