Hi everybody,
I'll be in Rijeka for one day (and one night); I'd like to know what is worth seeing, a cheap accomodation (something like a pension) and a good place where to eat.

I forgot: I'll go to the stadium as well (on that day is scheduled a Rijeka's home match), can i buy the ticket at stadium?
Head over to Volosko for dinner. It's a lovely seaside village with excellent restaurants in the harbour. Lovran is another nice spot but further along the coast. The area has a famous seaside walk but the water is too cold for a dip at the moment.
Cheep staing in Rijeka you can find in Motel Lucija in Kostrena which is 5km from the center of Rijeka - Taxi is 5km = 30kn = 6$
Good place to eate depends on what you want to eat, you have everithing form McDonalds in the center to great Pizza place 5min walk form motel Lucija - ask for Pizzeria Paris, or some beter fish restaurants in town but in the center you have a tourist info point and there you can get the map, busticket fo 24h and direstions, probably even acomodation.
Sightseeng - you have a double decker sightseen bus which drives all day and you hop on- hop off where ever you like.
Nice places to see is Trsat - tower ( on top of the hill), catedral on the top, harbour, Opatija ( 8km from Rijeka) damous tourst place but expencive.
yes, but be there a bit earlier.
I dont know whit who they play that day but but if they play with Hajduk or Croatia maby you shoud skipp that game.

In Rijeka , alternative club scene and music concerts are numerous. Being mainstream here is not popular. Being different, that's cool. Here, you'll find more events connected to rock music comparing to Zagreb (capital city).

The IT Department of the City of Rijeka, in cooperation with the company “Krk sistemi d.o.o.”, developed the Project of Free Wireless Internet Access in the centre of Rijeka for all the citizens that use portable computers, as well as all the tourists and visitors of this city. The signal of the free wireless Internet access covers the very city centre. The signal coverage forms the “circle” Jadranski trg – Korzo – Ulica Ignacija Henckea – Riva – Splitska ulica – Jadranski trg and Ulica Ante Starčevića.

If you're into hiking, climbing and that kind of stuff, you'll love Gorski kotar. Its just 20-30 km from Rijeka (depends on where exactly you're going).
Risnjak and Snjeznik are my favourite mountains in that area. It takes something like 2 hours to get to the top, but you won't regeret all that trouble once you see the view. When its very very clear, you can see all the way to Italy.
Kostrena is first small city after eastern exit of Rijeka. Don't be afraid when you see shipyard between this two cities. There is excellent place to walk next to the sea and enjoying nature and fresh clean air. You can go there by bus or taxi for relaxation but on weekends there are so many people walking along the promenade.
Check all photos attached. Photos are taken in winter. During summer here is nice beach (even so close to Rijeka city you can swim and belive me it's not that dirty as many people in Rijeka would tell you, of course, if you have more time, go to islands). Don't be afraid of heavy industry facilities. It's so common around Rijeka.
