Sculptor Ivan Rendic
Ivan Rendic (1849-1932) is considered to be the most important Croatian sculptor of the 19th century.
He was born in Imotski (Dalmatia), but spent both his youth and his last years of his life in Supetar.
He created more than 200 statues, which can be found in cities all around Southern Europe.
In Supetar a few of his works can be seen on the local cemetery. A statue called "Allegory of Mind" is situated in front of the town library in the heart of Supetar's old town.
