Tucepi

Tučepi is a small town situated in Makarska riviera (Split-Dalmatia region), the most beautiful part of Croatia. In the past, there were just few people living, in 70s started a boom of building hotels and the town got bigger. The population is nearly 2,000 inhabitants, but in summer it seems like tens of thousands.

The town is ready for tourists, there are a lot of excellent hotels and appartements. The sports activities and attractions, like banana rides, parachute water skiing, diving, jet-ski,... are a bit overpriced, but always busy, so I guess people enjoy it. However, they want to enjoy their holiday. In the evening many performances, music or even theatre take place in the main square near the harbour of Tucepi. A good dalmatian's band is f.e. Klapa Garbin.

Every week, everybody can try the croatian food, grilled fish and white bread with lettuce. Croatia produces very good wine, which is the best with fish, but you can also try croatian beer Karlovacko or Ozujsko in the hot weather.

"Biokovo mountains"

Tucepi is surrounded by beautiful nature. The perfectly blue sea contrasts with white mountains of Biokovo. The highest peak is Sveti Jure 1762 m. Some travel agencies from Tucepi provide trips around Biokovo mountains or it is also possible to go yourself. It is worth to go to see the sea from up there. It is amazing view.
