absolutely my favourite hotel in zagreb
i spent two days at this hotel and all i can say this is one of the best hotels i stayed at. the stuff is extremely competent and helpful. rooms are very clean such as the whole hotel and i would definitely recommend this hotel and its restaurant! great food!

great city hotel
Me and my wife stayed one weekend at arcotel. we found it very convenient. located only few minutes walking distance from main square it´s very suitable to visit all the main attractions and museums. they also have a great spa. we would definitely recommend this hotel.

Nice hotel with very friendly staff
During my business trip in Zagreb, hotel Arcotel was one of the nices things that I will surely remember. Nice, comfortable, best breakfast and most friendly staff I have ever met...I travel to Zagreb again next month and I will definitely come back to Arcotel...

nice
has excellent breakfast, you can always ask for espresso coffee or nescafe (instant).
Rooms are in quite good condition. wi-fi in rooms sometimes doesn't work.
Best way to book it is through hotel page (can get a room price lower for 14,50€ pp without breakfast) or booking.com.
Do call if arriving after 6PM, they have to keep the room for if overbooked.
3 tram stops from the main square (2 stops from main square any direction are free of charge), or 15min walk.

HOTEL ARCOTEL ALLEGRA 4*
Opened in 2003, Arcotel Allegra Hotel Zagreb is Zagreb`s newest hotel and is very modern, with good amenities and attention to detail. Using colours and materials from Croatia, the character of the country has been incorporated into the design of the hotel. This includes an aquarium of sea fish in the lobby and various designs around the hotel such as the carpets in the bedroom depicting the world with Zagreb marked as a red dot. Innovative touches, such as moveable tables that can be put over the bed, a DVD player in every room, and a CD library all help to ensure an enjoyable stay. Of course, usual 4 star amenities are also available, bedrooms are air-conditioned and there is a "Wellness Centre" and parking is available. In addition, there is also an excellent restaurant and informal bar.

Very good hotel in central location
I've stayed at this hotel for business about six times over the last half-year or so. Service was consistently quick, friendly and helpful. Rooms are modern and very clean, the beds are comfortable (with relatively firm mattresses, which I like). The breakfast buffet leaves almost nothing to be desired.
There's a small sauna and steam bath, as well as some fitness equipment. (Strangely, sometimes I got a free bathrobe and slippers in the room, and sometimes I didn't - it seemed to be a random thing.)
The hotel bar and restaurant are fine, but quite expensive for Zagreb. If you'd like to have a beer or two in the evening and don't want to spend a lot, consider going to another place nearby.
Note that there's no Internet access available in the rooms (neither wired nor WLAN), just two public workstations in the lobby.
Unique Quality: Modern, clean, very good service, central location.

Highly Recommend
I stayed at this hotel for 14 days. The staff and service really are friendly and helpful. The breakfast buffet is pretty good with lots of fresh coldcuts and assorted breads, eggs, bacon, yoghurts, cheese, a whole assortment of muesli and cereal. There is a free internet terminal in the lobby so you can easily check your mails. The gym is small but no one is in it-- free bottled water at the gym and towels and good equipment from Kettler-ie. treadmill and 2 stationary bikes. you have to pay extra for sauna and whirlpool and there is a sunbed for extra cost if you want to use it. they are really big on delivering good and friendly service here. standard rooms are bigger than normal, clean and modern.
Unique Quality: little freebies here and there:
there is an apple holder in your room mounted on the wall that says something like "have a nice day" and they will place 2 apples there. oh, and free apples to eat at reception too!
free bottled water at the gym on the 6th floor in the wellness center
