Hostel: Cvjetno naselje
During the summer holidays the student accomodations of Zagreb's university are used as a hostel for independent travellers. The best one is said to be Cvjetno naselje.
In Summer 2004 I stayed here 3 nights in a single room . My room was very spacious and included a private bath. The price was 170 Kuna per night plus 7 Kuna tourist tax.
Free internet access on the university campus is also provided to the guests of the accomodation.

NICE CLEAN PLACE
This youth hostel is believed to be the best in Zagreb. It’s very conveniently placed. Not far from station Glavni Kolodvor. Three minutes walk from tram station. You can get four different tram for most of the places from here.
The hostel has twenty four hour reception. Rooms are very neat and reasonable sizes with attach toilet and shower. The best thing is floors are wooden so it feels very clean and tidy. They also supply you toiletries. The hostel is located in relatively quite area.

I paid 144 Kuna per night in August.
Unique Quality: There is a convenience shop just ten minutes walk, and you can get all yours cigarettes and snacks in the late night or early morning. It is also has few cafes within two minutes walk.
