Great location!
My stay was nice. The rooms are small, but the location can't be beat. The hotel was clean and the room price included a full breakfast every morning.
Unique Quality: You are within walking distance to almost everything.

HOTEL DUBROVNIK 4*
Dubrovnik Hotel is located right in the heart of Zagreb, on Ban Jelacic Square, the centre of Croatia`s cultural and political life, only ten minutes walk from the main railway station. Rooms are very well appointed with all modern comforts of a 4 star, have a very welcoming and cosy atmosphere as well as the lobby, the bar and the Piccolo Mondo Ristorante where guests can try local and international speciality and wines being able to enjoy the view on the main square thanks to the whole length windows. All main monuments, parks and Zagreb attractions can easily be reached by foot or public transportation.

hotel in the centre
It is not the right place here to say how good the hotel was, not because it was not, but to point out some issues i think usefull:
- i stayed in the old wing, a room with a nice view to the central city square. However, if was difficult to sleep in the night because of the flags haging outside and which were hitting the window because of wind blowing :-)
- i do not know whether this applies to all rooms or not, but sounds from one room are too easy to hear in the other one. for example, toilet flush :-))))

GREAT LOCATION IN ZAGREB
Unique Quality: Though I had an apartment -- the Hotel Dobrovnik seemed like the next best location! It is a bit pricey but looked inviting.

Great location
I didn't stay here, but a quick perusal of the website indicates that it is a modern hotel. The architecture certainly fits that description with its towering glass facade.
Some of the local Zagreb VTers mentioned this place along with Hotel Central (near the train station) as good accommodations if you want to stay close to the town center. Personally, I travel on a budget and therefore opted for the slightly farther flung Ravnice Youth Hostel.

Great location, for a price
The Hotel Dubrovnik has an unbeatable location right next to Trg Jelaýiýa in the center of Zagreb. You can walk pretty much anywhere you want to go from here. The hotel was pleasant enough and the rooms were clean and comfortable, but we were slightly shocked by the prices, which seemed on the high end. We paid USD 110 for a double room--not much in Paris, maybe, but this was a tourist-class hotel in a relatively small city. I'm sure there are cheaper options with more character.

This hotel is where we landed the morning after the Hotel Ilica night. Obviously it is in a different league, both in comfort and price. If you can afford its rates, it is highly recommended – clean, friendly, ideally placed on Trg Josip Jelacica, good buffet breakfasts, modern bathroom, MTV on the television. We spent five very happy nights here, one watching a thunder storm directly overhead and torrential driving rain scattering the crowds in the square. Only one negative point – poor quality, possibly ersatz coffee at breakfast.
