Hotel Slisko

No matter how you arrive in the city, you'll be hard pressed to find anywhere as convenient as Hotel Slisko. It's a couple of streets away from the main Bus Station, which is where the airport bus drops passengers, and also just around the corner from the main train station. It's on a quiet back street, but only just off the main city center, so makes for easy accessibilty, plus several trams run past the main bus station and run all the way through town.

It's good value too, for Zagreb. I paid 50 euros a night and got a huge apartment all to myself, complete with a view of a building site and a noisy fridge. But you can't have everything.

Directions: Opposite the main bus stop (not the car park) there is a triangle of grass called Boticev Trg. Walk across there, bear right down Supilova, and you will eventually reach the hotel, on your left.
