Zaton Holiday Village: Zaton Family Paradise

I haven't stayed there but I had a visit to the camp and spoke with some of the people who were camping there and they were thrilled. They said that they are camping there for a few years and are happy to return each summer. They also said it is a great place to take your kids because there are lots of playgrounds, sand beaches, pony riding etc....

Prices are various, depending on the time of the year and camp zone and type of accommodation, but they are from 40euro-150euro/night.

Unique Quality: Zaton camp site is located on the Adriatic, about 15 km from the town of Zadar. Zaton on the deep blue water of the Croatian coast calls itself a 'Family Paradise' and that is no overstatement. It is much more than just a camp site.

The family camp site where in addition to static caravans various apartments (tastefully renovated!) can be rented, is professional and well laid out so that the whole family can enjoy a wonderful sun drenched holiday. Pine trees which provide plenty of shade and atmosphere cover the beautiful grounds which face the sea and have the mountains as a background. Moreover the camp site is right by the beach. There is a sandy beach and a pebble beach with a slide and climbing frames in the water.

There is also a lovely swimming pool on the camp site with separate shallow sections for small children where they can splash around. All around is a terrace with deckchairs for enjoying the sun. And as for all mod cons there are several restaurants, excellent sports facilities (tennis, beach volleyball, diving, horse riding and much, much more!) and a fun entertainment programme (also on the beach) for young and old.

There is dancing for the teenagers in nearby Saturnus which is within walking distance of the site. You can also visit the tourist town of Zaton with lively outdoor cafes, shops and restaurants.
