Nightlife

by paparoma

Hey all,
Its myself 19, and two other buddies who are 25 are heading to Ayia Napa in the middle of June. My question is how is the nightlife there, the partying, the girls ;), and just the overall experience. Also, I am 19.. How does that sound for a regular cyprus party.. not too young??? i hope.. Please let me know or reply as soon as possible.

Thank you in advance.

P.s - if theres any suggestions you would like to provide.. it would be greatly appreciated.. thanks

Google windowoncyprus for general information
or go to
http://www.windowoncyprus.com/ayianapa_clubbing.htm

You will find a website with lots of information and a forum.
Holidaymakers post there and you should find contacts.
Some advice - Don't even THINK of taking any drugs with you when you travel.
You will spend a long time in prison, they are really strict on this.

haha thanks.. dont worry im not planning on.. Not my scene :)

Re: Nightlife

my main question is whether 19 years old is a good age.. almost 20.. for that sort of experience??????

Re: Nightlife

by Gerry_Hattrick

19-20 is a good age to experience Napa.
Do not touch the local spirits, - whisky, gin, vodka. They will ruin your day. Honest!
The brandy and ouzo are OK and the local beers are good.
Stay away from local girls, they are trouble. There will be plenty of tourist girls around.

Re: Nightlife

thank you.. last question..
are there any hotels that you can remind for me.. close to the beach.. and close to the nightlife (clubs/bars).. a hotel mostly recommended for young singles.. a party hotel more or less..

Appreciate your help.. thanks

I can only refer you to the windowoncyprus forum that I posted earlier.
I own a house just south of Larnaca so have no need of hotels, and the nightlife in Napa is not really my age group - I'm treble your age :-)
the place is not very large and you will find your way around the central area in the first night there.
There are 'night clubs' on the outer areas, and while I have never been in any, I have a bad feeling about them. I could be wrong, but I will never know from personal experience :-) Access will have to be by taxi from the town centre.

Travel Tips for Ayia Napa

24 hrs

by Stavris

Ayia Napa is a 24 hr town where nearly all times of day and night it's similarly bussy. Their are 3 ways you can spend your holidays depending on what activities you want to do.
--- If you want to do activities, see places or visit attractions then you better wake up early. Early is any time before 10am. You go somewhere during the day propably sleep for a while in the afternoon, go for dinner between 7-9pm and then whatever you like untill you go to bed around 1-2am.
--- Cypriots if they go to Ayia Napa for holidays they wake up around midday, eat their breakfast/lunch which is normally watermelon with halloumi cheese and bread. Then they go to the beach usually untill late; back home and back to bed before they have something to eat. They wake up at about midnight and they go clubbing and then afterparty, propably go see the sunrise and finally back to bed.
--- Party goers what they do, they usually wake-up in the afternoon they go to the beach after the have somethin for lunch. Usually they do some activities like water sports or beach games then back to their accomodation they have dinner at a restaurant or a fast food and then around 10-11pm go to the pub/bars and start drinking. They often go from one place to another untill around 1-2am where they go clubbing. Clubbing finnishes their are two ways to continoue the remaining 2-3 hrs of darkness; either have sex or find an afterhours club to continoue their drinking and partying.

Monestary

by ratherton

Go to any lively holiday resort full of bars and clubs and the last thing you'd expect to find is a monestary. However, in Ayia Napa, that's exactly what you'll see.

It's worth taking a few minutes to have a look round but apart from that, I can't really tell you much about it.

Ayia Napa

"Not just for clubing"

Ayia Napa to my opinion is one of the best resorts in Cyprus it as every thing a water park lots of bars restaurants a picturest harbour.
But I think the beaches around this area are the best in Cyprus and one of my favourits is Nissi beach which is very popular.

As this is a mecca for the young and the clubing cenne there are a lot of quiter places out of the centre so this resort catters for every one.

My last visit was in the winter months and Ayia Napa is very quite a different resort alltogether.
