Road to Troodos 2
Going this route, you pass through a lot of traditional villages (some surprisingly large). Even in October the weather was comfortably warm. Alongside the road they really make as much of the land as possible, and we saw several groups harvesting grapes, and abundant apple trees and other crops. At this altitude in Scotland, you would be lucky to see grass. Though there is skiing in winter, I found it pretty hard to imagine snow, even on the peaks.
Day drinking cruise
Some hotels and companies sell boat trips around the coastal line of ayia napa. It's a great way to enjoy the beautiful views of the caves and the sea. It costs about 8 CYP and the food and drink on board are about 4 CYP for food and 1 CYP for drinks. Some boats stop on the way and you can jump from the boat into the water. Bring swimminggoggles, coz the water is very salty.

If you stay in ayia napa its your typical party destination, full of fun, clubs and drink. the party paradise with guest DJ's. However if you stay in the Nissi area its a lot more low tempo, more families but only a 5 min taxi ride to Ayia Napa and a lovely large beach with water activities.
