Cycling Paradise

if you like wind in your hair, sun beams on your skin and sea on your side, and also like cycling, Cyprus is the ideal place for you. it's convenient way for many things: from grocery shopping to enjoy the sunset in the harbor.
Cycling in Agia Napa is safe as long as you remember that cycling, like driving, here is on the left-hand side. there are plenty of bike rentals in the city. one day rental would cost you 3 Cypriot Pounds no matter whether you take a family or mountain bike; you can do as well as 10-13 for a week rental.
P.S. before the travel, I have found a great cycling route brochure on the internet with routes throughout the country. despite all effort, couldn't find the link when I came back. BUT, I have saved a pdf copy ;) would be happy to share with all interested parties upon request.

The Bungee Rocket in Ayia Napa
by cheekymarieh
A superb ride firing you up into the air at a terrific speed with a force of 4G and to a height of about 150 feet. You end up spinning high above Ayia Napa.
It's worth buying the video to see the look on your faces and so that it is not on general display for others to see!!!
From the top you get some excellent views of the resort. You can see for miles if you try it in daylight.
Ayia Napa

"The history and science stuff I didn't know"
Ayia Napa is one of those strange places that has evolved and changed it's character beyond all recognition over the past 20 years. The change has to be seen and experienced to be believed. This once sleepy fishing village is now acknowledged as on of the hottest clubbing spots in Europe. It vies with Ibiza for the position of club capital of the med. The primary reason as with many countries has been war and politics. In Cyprus the tradition tourist resorts, along with most of the wealth was in the North of the island. The south was basically an agri-based economy. The locals eking out what ever level they could from farming and fishing. All of that changed in 1973 when Turkey invaded the north of the island as part of a centuries old debate over control between Greece and Turkey. As a result and with the involvement of the U.N the North of the Island was annexed leaving the south with a very basis economy. The Greek Cypriots have worked hard over the past 30 years to build their economy, a sizeable part of this is now tourism thanks to resorts such as Ayia Napa and Paphos. But enough of history and politics!
