I don't think you will have any trouble with ID in Cyprus but suggest that you bring photocopies of your passport (to avoid taking out the original and incase you get into any strife with the police) and your UK driving licence (Photo one had DoB and visual ID).
Hope that helps a bit. Enjoy the holiday :o)

Lads,In Cyprus Identity should be carried at all times, Photo driving license
or passport,
Many clubs and Bars are are strict about I.D. if you look young.

Re: Identification?/

Carrying some form of ID is sound advice wherever you travel and countries like Turkey, Cyprus etc say that this should be done at all times but assuming the lads are not too drunk to mind their manners or are not behaving in the traditional English lad on holiday way, they really shouldn't have any bother. My fella is UK forces and has spent quite a while in Cyprus with no request for ID when clubbing at all. I wouldn't recommend taking original passport out clubbing in case it goes missing. A photo ID and copies should suffice since the hotel you stay at takes copies of passport details and reports them to local police as soon as you arrive.

Travel Tips for Ayia Napa

Avoid burned lips - bring chapstick with SPF

by glamourprincess

The sun in Cyprus is burning hot and if you're not careful you'll get burned very bad. Some places are more painful and unpractical, such as your lips and scalp. Make sure you bring (or buy) lip balm/chapstick with SPF/UVA/UVB-protection to avoid swollen, sore, patchy, dried, painful lips.

70/80s music

by Incubus30 about Starsky & Hutch

If you are in Ayia Napa, you just cannot miss this place. Here you will dance to 70/80s music....
The retro music played will make you dance till you cannot have anymore.
The styling inside is also cool ;reminds you of the discos in the 80s. Normal dresscode is accepted but you could go one step further and put on some 70s/80s clothes for that night.I can assure you that it will be fun & you will not be the only one.
Indide the club , there is also a small shop where you can buy special wigs and sunglasses which will get you in the mood.

Agia Thekla : a great interior

by globetrott

Agia Thekla has a great interior and its doors are open all day for free entrance and in order to take a look around and taking photos is no problem at all.
It was interesting for me to see that in many churches you will find icons partly covered by shawls like in my 3rd photo here.

Visited Ayia Napa with a group of close friends and really enjoyed it. I think it is the perfect way to see this place.

Do not expect much cultural visits in this area, just relax by the pool or the nice sandy beach in the afternoon and then hit the club scene

"Night Life"

The large amount of Clubs/bars & discotheques is impossible to list but I tried to show you that I preferred. Have a look in my Travelogue.

Basically,it you want to check out what is going to happen in the night, go in the Main Square and see what's up!
