Plug-Adaptors & Electricity in Cyprus
by globetrott
Electricity in Cyprus has 220 Volt, but the plug might be different from the one that you use in your homecountry and so it will be the best to take an adaptor-plug with you, because even the big hotels obviously dont have a single plug in the rooms for the ordinary plugs of Europe.
Charging your batteries etc. will only be possible when you have the right adaptor like in my photo !
From Caveman to mythology
by kixon about Blue Moon bar/Club Mythology
When Grabbarna Grus cloeses at 1 the blue moon bar opens. Almost all scandinavians go there after Grabbarna Grus. It's not a very big place and the ceilings aren't very high. It's nothing special really. Good music, good drinks, friendly people and very gorgeous scandinavians! As little as possible, coz it's very warm in the bars in ayia napa. A lot of guys have no shirt at all, girls small tops or bikini's, depending on the theme of the night
Ayia Napa Monastery
by cheekymarieh
This was part of the original town before the tourists arrived. The original monastery buildings date from around the 1500s although they have recently undergone some renovation.
There is a legend behind the origins of the Monastery. It is said that a hunter followed a barking dog into a cave in the forest. He found an illuminated icon of the Virgin Mary. Of course, the story of this discovery soon spread amongst the people. A young jilted Venetian noble woman came to hear of the place where pilgrims built a chapel. The young woman decided to retreat there and built a monastery, an olive press and a mill. As she was Catholic she also had a second chapel built.
The cloister is still a peaceful spot in the middle of the nightlife and activity of what was a former fishing village.
Ayia Napa (Agia Nápa)

This is the major tourist resort for the young (think Blackpool). Attractions include a splendid Waterworld, an excellent water based theme park with a fun fair adjacent. Apart from the monastery, everything is new and the streets are lined with gift shops all selling the same goods.
