Expensive alcohol: stock up on the tax-free
by glamourprincess
If you're going to Ayia Napa, you're most likely going because you want fun and sun and lots of partying. A little advice on the way; buy alcohol at the tax-free before you leave. Cyprus is very expensive, the local super markets in Ayia Napa know that the young people will buy alcohol at any price and therefore the prices are crazy (e.g. £2 for a Bacardi Breezer alco-pop) Beer is quite cheap though, so you can get away with reasonable prices on the golden drink, but if you prefer spirits, stock up on the airport!
Napa Nights
by blondy_87 about Senior Frogs
This is another good party in napa, along nightlife street and next door but one to Carwash club. Go eat mexican style, relax with a drink, sing a little karaoke, dance to the hottest sounds, drink a yard of alcohol and... party on!!!! Interesting signs stuck all over the place and ladies beware the barman can be very friendly and sorry to dissapoint but kissing them won't make them princes instead of frogs haha
In season they have a beach party at the famous Nissi beach in the day worth checking out too.
The belfry
by globetrott
The belfry of the monastery Agia Napa is the only belfry in Cyprus that stands alone, seperate from the church but just in quite a short distance. It was built in the backpart of the church, where the natural grottos will be found, the belfry is still in use nowadays.
The Best Cocktails in the world
by Lottienapa
"Pub Crawl"
If you're thirsty this is this the place to be. Less fishbowls than Malia, but the best cocktails in town can be found here. When you first arrive in the infamous Square its hard to know where to start. I'd recommend doing the rep pub crawl to get an idea of what is good and what to avoid. And of course all those shots are great too...
First off go to Gasoline, The Bell Inn and Volt for cheap cocktails at £1. Then head to the Bulldog and Senior Frogs for great cocktails at Buy get one free and great music. Coyotes is MUST for dancing on the bar and 2 for 1 on cocktails.
Soooo many pubs I could recommend but I will tell which to avoid: Titanic (bad music, very expensive) and Coco Bar (no A/C).
So what are you waiting for? Go and get a cocktail! Now!
