I worked in napa for 5 seasons and am goin back this year, workin on the fantasy boat party! ive been in pretty much every hotel in napa and takkas is one of the better ones! the rooms are pretty basic but you have all the neccessities and its clean! its got a good pool area which is usually pretty lively and is only about a 4 min walk to the square.
if there is anything else you want to know just let me know and ill see what i can do.
See you out there

by 2dizzymancs

I am going to ayia napa for 2weeks on the 24aug 2008 with my mate, we have never really been on a mad holiday before and we dont really know what to expect. I went to cyprus this year but stayed in Protaras and went to ayia once on a bar crawl and it was really lively!!!! There is only going to be two of us aswell and we are looking for a good time with lots of partying involved!!!! We are also staying in the Takkas hotel.....and would like to know if anyone has stayed there before and how they rate it.

Hi, a friend of mine stayed there 2 years ago and she liked it. I collected her from there one night...it is nice enough. Nice average sized pool...2 minute walk to bars and clubs.

You will love Ayia Napa it is the best place for a guys or girls holiday I've now been 4 times and already booked to go back next year too.

I stayed at Takkas to its really friendly and just around the corner from the nightlife but far enuff away not to hear the up roar, the food is good as well, if you haven't found this site already you should defo try it

Lorraine stays out there and she can give you all the low-down and Ricky reps out there every summer at Starkys and knows where the best places are.

I'm a member on there too. Scottishchick

Its a great site to get you excited about going over, plus you can meet people that are going over at the same time!!!

Try it and give me shout if you are on!

Take Care and hopefully chat again soon

Hey, I have stayed in Takkas apartments before and I am going to Ayia Napa again this year staying in a flat right next to Takkas. Takkas is a nice place, big rooms and is really close to the centre. It is about 2 minutes walk to the clubbing scene and about 5 minutes walk to the beach. I had a good time last time but was with family. I'm going by myself to work this year hopefully for 3 months so could catch you down there! hope this helps x

Travel Tips for Ayia Napa

the well with an animal-head

by globetrott

This great well is inside the monastery of Ayia Napa and water is running out of it all day long. That animal-head might be a sheep maybe, it is not easy to see that clearly. The monastery was built around the natural springs that were found in this place and you will see the water running through a small channel through many parts of the monastery. In my last photo you can see, where to look for that well !

Cavo Greko National Park

by om_212

Cavo Greko is a great place to visit for people who like nature and/or fond of sports - cycling, horse-riding, climbing, swimming and diving. the great panoramic view opens from the top. the area has several walking trails which are a part of the Athrodite Cultural Route. there are several benches along routes to recuperate or just to enjoy a book in a total seclusion and harmony with the nature (if you travel in April or May). don't miss beatiful sunsets!

Beach and Discos

by tashka

The main things about Ayia Napa are the beach and night clubs. The place cannot boast any significant sightseeing, but if you look for night parties, dancing through the nights and enjoying the sunny beach at daylight, - this is the place you need.

The town itself was previously just a fishermen's village. During the conflict with Turkey a military base was set up nearby and this boosted the development of the place. Now this resort is a favorite vacation place for many Europeans, though mostly for British tourists.

The views at Ayia Napa are magnificent, in just 100 meters from the border of the town you can find small deserted rocky bays, which look very beautiful with the azure sea waves and salty rocks.
