Urgently Nedds Renovation
I spent 4 nights at this Hotel with other members of our choir. The hotel was booked for us so we had no other alternative, although I believe that there were not many other hotels open during March when we visited Protaras.
I remember the room was not very big, but the bathroom was really small and some tiles were cracked. It is not a beach hotel, but you have to walk about 10 minutes to get to the nearest beach. It is about 650 -700 metres from the Fig Tree Bay.
The lifts are also quite small, and I remember I preferred using the stairs.
There was no fridge in the room and I had to pay extra to have one.
I remember the carpet was old and in some places it was not clean. My room overlooked the Mc Donald's and the main road.
Unique Quality: Breakfast was ok.
Clean towels, and centrally located for those who are fond of nightlife. The whole area is full of Bars, Restaurants, and Souvenir shops.
There is a market just next to the hotel.

Limassol nightlife
I'm going to Limassol for a 7-day vacation in June and will be staying in Kapetanios Hotel, that is in the old city. How far is it from the main clubbing locations and what particular clubs would you recommend? Any info on entry, face control, drink prices is also very welcome! Btw, does anyone know if the closest beach is sandy or not quite? Well, ANY relevant info is highly appreciated - it's gonna be my first visit to Cyprus you know :) Would be cool to meet up with the locals from virtualtourist community!

hi, in the old city there are really nice restaurants and some pubs. however most of the clubs are a small drive away. its not far but its not that close to walk especially for some clubs that are in the other end of limassol. there is face control, but i dont think that would be a problem with dressing casual smart. as about drinks prices only some clubs and pubs are pricy. the closest beach is not one of the best, but it is sandy with small pebbles or rocks at places and women are free to go topless. anyway if u wantany more dont hessitate to contact me on my email or on messenger on ant1728@hotmail.com.

Hi,
You are quite close to TGI Fridays, which is on the seafront at Limassol. The nightclubs are in Potamos Yermasoyia (the tourist strip), which is about 2km away from your hotel.
Taxi's are relatively cheap along the seafront but they charge time and a half after midnight. Expect to pay about £3 to £4 per taxi at standard fare to take you to the tourist area.
The hotel you are staying at is more or less situated between the tourist area and the Old Town.
Not sure about prices etc as we don't go in the nightclubs but I do know that the Old Triangle (below the Step Inn) charge £2.50 for a bottle of water. It plays old skool and retro stuff at the weekends.
